Rev. Ernesto Arellano
Rev. Ernesto Arellano is the founding Pastor and currently the Senior Pastor of Jesus is Lord Fellowship, a church located in Toms River, New Jersey. Jesus Is Lord Fellowship was established in 1993. The ministry was originally called the Philippine Christian Fellowship affiliated with the Assemblies of God. At that time it was an ethnic congregation that reached out to the Filipino community here in Ocean County. Today, Jesus is Lord Fellowship is a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural church. The new Worship Center is strategically located in the Toms River area. People from the surrounding townships of Lakewood, Brick, Ocean Gate, Bayville, Beachwood, Manchester and Jackson comprise the congregation. Jesus is Lord Fellowship continues to be a community –oriented, missional, multi-generational church.
Rev. Arellano is a visionary with a “glocal” perspective of making a difference in the lives of people and communities through the love of Christ. Locally he is actively involved in the Filipino community as Member of the Board of Filipino-American Community Development Center, a local body composed of local leaders in the field of law and medicine and banking institution with the goal of preserving the Filipino Culture through education. He regularly meets with other local Pastors from different denominations in prayer in the hope to find a solution to a local problem of transitional path of men and women recovering from substance abuse.
As a minister with a missionary’s heart, Rev. Arellano’s passion is to plant churches locally and abroad. By the grace of God, the Celebration church in Pemberton took roots and is now a growing congregation. A missionary couple together with their family was sent off to Ventnor, New Jersey, and is now pastoring the Way of Life church. In the Philippines, Jesus is Lord Fellowship is mothering 3 churches-one in Metro Manila, and two in Pangasinan, the hometown of the Arellano’s. In Pangasinan, the churches adopt a holistic approach to ministering to the people- body, soul and spirit. Jesus is Lord is an active partner of FARMS International in Pangasinan. FARMS applies Biblical principles to alleviate poverty among the church members and the community. In Southern India, a church construction was completed and Pastor Vijay was installed as resident pastor. Rev. Arellano is also a sought-after speaker among churches in New Jersey and abroad. Recently in January 2016, Rev. Arellano became the Assistant Presbyter-elect to oversee 15 Assemblies of God Filipino-Ethnic Fellowship Churches under the jurisdiction of the New Jersey District. He became the Presbyter in May 2017. In July 2018, Rev. Arellano was voted in as Vice President of the Fil-Am Fellowship of the Assemblies of God.
